Truman
Life speaks its beginning's through you
In a twinge of the fingers
A twist of your head
Pushing and pulling little parts
Moving about in miniature
Movements, feelings all before you, unknown
Your father placed you upon my chest
I was lying there in rest
Refletions of church were fading and dreams came fast
My beat of heart was not yours
You were in my arms, I had you
I had you in the quiet of a sunday afternoon
Before you grew, before troubles with friends, before graduation
Before a mission, marriage, and the morge
I held you before those moments took their hands upon you
I held you in arms of safety before it all happend
I held you at twenty two
And wondered who held me before
Who kept me on their chest on some sunday afternoon
And breathed visions and blessings in my ears?
What they couldn't tell me they left in whispers
Whispers were all I could leave with you
They could not hold me nor I you
Released we are to listen and do as whispers true
i liked that one a lot more.
