A common occurance

Everything but One

He only wanted to be loved
As long as words came to him
And laughs poured out of her
All would be right

It started so simple
But now confusion entered
What was she thinking
After his every line she laughed

He decided to open up
She would understand right
You make me feel-
The words stopped her laugh

Her eyes retreated
His confidence expired
Why did he say such things
Both waited for ignorance to return

We were just talking
Well sure and then-
What did you expect
What do you want me to do

Such moments never were the same
Laughter leads to loneliness
He could be everything but one
More than someone there for fun

  1. This was good.I liked the words you used like retreated and expired they pack a lot more meaning in just a few lines rather than adding more explaination. And also the contrast between "confusion entering" and "confidence expired" had a huge impact on the whole piece.keep it up!
